HALO 1 Multiplayer Server

Just had a thought.

HALO 1 Multiplayer. Its cheap nasty and great from taking a break and blowing off steam.

Can create own server and password it with admin abilitys.

Different weps and vehicles.

Many different game types to muck around with so great fun to be had. Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Slayer (kilin), even racing in warthogs around the maps.

Nothing serious just blowing each other up and shooting each other in the head whenever peeps wana take a break from the other games.

Can be picked up for like a fiver nowadays being a rather old game.

I think its better than War Rock less glitchy completely free more control over running the types of games and weps used etc.
Can even have tags or clans aswell and play together on others peeps plain and modded servers as teams.

What ya think?

I like the idea. Have you tried the demo yet? You can get it from the microsoft website if you haven't.
:edit: And yes, much easier than warrock too.

I own it, it gets like 5 times better with Halo CE, which is of course, also free to obtain after purchasing the orginional game.

Of course, theres always the demo if people dont wan't to purchase the incredibly cheap game, but that only has one map compared to the origional game which has like 15, and CE which has at least 50 different types of maps, some of the best being ColdSnap, with CE you can also get new weapons and vehicles, such as the pelican, or the scarab (giant hulking beast with a gun on its back from Halo 2), the maps vary from incredibly small, to about a mile(s) length if not bigger.

if other people were willing to go get it and play it, I'd get a copy too. but I'm not going to spend cash on a game I'll end up never playing

You need the full game to play with the people that also have the full game as trial accounts can't play with full game accounts.
But it's definately good fun, and a good way to let off steam.

Its the same for any other game in the community I suppose. We all need to be on at same time, with full game, and not busy playing other games to have fun with it.

I was thinking of it more as a piss around game to smash at each other and not have to think. SMASH GOOD!!

I have no idea how often we can all get together and piss around on HALO but I know it would be fun and a good laugh when we can.
